This philosophy is shared by yoga, which also promotes mindfulness and being fully present in each posture or asana, focusing on breathing and body sensations.<br \/><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Body-Mind Integration<\/strong>: Both Gestalt therapy and yoga work on the principle that the mind and body are intrinsically connected. Gestalt therapy explores how emotions and thoughts affect the body, while yoga uses physical movement, breathing and meditation to influence the mental and emotional state.<br \/><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Self-knowledge and Self-discovery<\/strong>: Gestalt therapy encourages self-discovery through experimentation and self-exploration, which helps people understand themselves better. Similarly, yoga invites practitioners to explore their physical and mental limits, promoting deep introspection and self-knowledge.<br \/><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Regulation  <\/strong><strong><\/strong><strong>Emotional<\/strong>: Both practices offer tools for emotional regulation. Gestalt therapy through the expression and work with emotions, and yoga through the practice of asanas and pranayama (breathing exercises) that help calm the mind and manage stress.<br \/><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Authenticity and Acceptance<\/strong>: Gestalt therapy emphasizes the importance of being authentic and accepting oneself, recognizing and valuing one&#8217;s experiences and emotions. Yoga also promotes acceptance, teaching practitioners to accept their body and its limitations, as well as to work with them compassionately.<br \/><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Personal Transformation<\/strong>: Finally, both Gestalt therapy and yoga are paths to personal transformation.
